TUESDAY NIGHT'S DINNER . . .
Reading --
We are so excited about our new unit that starts this week in reading class! Students will start SERIES BOOK CLUBS this week. Students will be reading from various series books in small groups so that they will be able to have book talks about their books with others. Be sure and ask your 2nd grader which book series they are reading from! We will be reviewing what partners / book clubs can discuss about their books and how to be awesome listeners.
Last week we learned about CONTEXT CLUES and
how to use them to help us with tricky words.
Here is a great way to practice CONTEXT CLUES at home. ENJOY!!

We have a Math Test on Friday, February 28th
over Place Value and Measurement!
A blue test review was sent home with your child on Friday (2/21).
Please review with your child all the different concepts. There is a concept page glued in your child's math notebook. Your student should be bringing their math notebook home every day in order to study (but bring it back to school each day).
This week we will be strengthening our skills of place value and measurement.
Students will be working on various activities to help reinforce
what they already know.
