Reading --
This week in reading class we will be working on RETELLING. We will work on recognizing the BEGINNING - MIDDLE - END of what we are reading. We will use various graphic organizers to try different ways to summarize (retell) stories we have read.

This week in PHONICS we will be focusing on word endings:
* Adding -ing and -ed to words that end with silent E
*Doubling consonants before adding endings
Math --
This week in math we will learn all about AREA!
Students will complete various activities to help them learn about this concept!
This week, we will also be learning about place value to the thousands place. Students will be completing different activities to review the different forms:
standard, expanded, written, and model form!
Students will also be practicing comparing numbers. We will be
comparing numbers up to the thousands!
Students will be using phrases such as “more than” and “less than”
to compare numbers.
