This week in reading, in addition to reviewing for the test, we will be working on using CONTEXT CLUES. Learning to use context clues will help us figure out difficult words in our reading and in everyday life.
Writing --
We have a variety of things happening in writing class this week! We will finish up our publishing, and we will share our final versions of our poems with our classmates.
This week we will be learning about VERBS! We will learn to recognize them in our reading and writing and finish the week with a few rounds of VERB BINGO!

Phonics --
In phonics this week, we will be working on word endings. We will learn to make words plural and learn about changing the y to i before adding -es or -ed.
Math--
This week in math, we will continue our study of place value. Students will be reviewing how to compare numbers and write them in different forms (Standard, Expanded, Written, and Model). Students will be reinforcing these skills through guided math stations!
Science--
This week in science, we will work on our weather project! Students will be picking a location to study and creating a tally chart using weather trends for a 10 day period. After students have created their chart, they will make a pictograph of their data. They will also create questions about their specific information.
Later in the week, we will be starting our unit on Moon phases. We will be observing the appearance of the moon and recording it's patterns.
Social Studies --
We will begin our study of historical figures this week in social studies.
This week, we will learn about Paul Revere and Abigail Adams.
